Registration is free and confidential, and the offender is not told who registered. VINE should not be the only safety measure. Immediate danger should be reported to 911. Tennessee VINE Courts is a separate court-event service, so a hearing notice is not a jail or prison release alert.
Keep contact details current. An old phone number or full inbox can prevent timely delivery even when the custody event reaches the system. If a call goes unanswered, the service may leave a message and continue attempts under its current process.
